Welcome to Meowdy ("we," "our," or "us"). We are dedicated to protecting your privacy and ensuring you and your pets have a safe, transparent, and enjoyable experience. This Privacy Policy explains how our mobile application collects, uses, and safeguards your information, including our advertising and notification practices.
Information We Collect
When you use Meowdy, we may collect the following types of information:
- Account InformationWhen you sign in using Google Sign In or Email, we collect your email address, display name, and unique authentication identifiers provided by Firebase Authentication.
- Pet Profile DataInformation you voluntarily provide about your cat, such as cat name, breed, birthdate, mood preferences, and game catches scores.
- Uploaded ImagesPhotos of your cat that you upload via camera or gallery for the cat avatar profile, which are stored securely on Google Firebase Storage.
- Audio DataWhen using the Voice Translator, audio recorded via your device's microphone is processed locally on your device to generate fun simulation responses and sound effects. We do not transmit, sell, or harvest your private voice recordings.
- Device & Advertising IdentifiersTo deliver personalized or contextual advertisements and monitor app health, third party SDKs such as Google AdMob and Firebase may automatically collect device identifiers, for example Google Advertising ID (AAID), IP address, and technical diagnostic logs.
Permissions We Request
To provide our core interactive features, Meowdy requests the following device permissions:
Used on Android 13+ to deliver optional daily playtime reminders, birthday celebrations for your cat, and fun engagement alerts. You can disable notifications anytime in your device settings.
Used strictly for the real time Voice Translator waveform visualizer and cat simulation responses.
Used exclusively to allow you to take or select an avatar photo for your cat profile.
Required to sync your cat profile, fetch remote soundboard updates, authenticate your account, and load advertisements.
Advertising and Monetization (Google AdMob)
Meowdy is supported by advertising to keep core features free for pet owners worldwide.
We integrate Google AdMob to display non intrusive advertisements, specifically Interstitial Ads and Rewarded Video Ads, which allow users to optionally watch videos to unlock premium in game items, like the Laser Dot toy.
Google AdMob may collect and process information about your device, including your Google Advertising ID, location data, and app interaction data to deliver relevant ads and detect fraud, in compliance with Google's Advertising Policies.
You can opt out of personalized ads by adjusting your device settings:

How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information solely to:
- Provide, personalize, and maintain the Meowdy app features.
- Sync your cat's profile, mood, and game scores across your devices via Google Firebase.
- Send helpful, non spammy cat daily reminders and birthday celebrations.
- Deliver advertisements that support the ongoing free development of the app.
- Monitor app stability, prevent fraud, and fix crashes.
Data Deletion and Account Removal (Google Play Compliance)
We strictly respect your right to control and delete your personal data.
If you wish to delete your account, cat profile, and all associated data stored in our databases, you can request full data deletion at any time by contacting us:

Please include the email address associated with your Meowdy account.
Upon receiving your request, we will permanently delete your authentication record, user profile, uploaded photos, and translation history from our Firebase servers within 7 business days.
Children’s Privacy
Meowdy does not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children under the age of 13. All features are designed for general pet loving audiences.
If you believe that a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately, and we will promptly remove such information.
